Oh Yummy Goodness!
I made this Winter Berry Crisp the other day for dessert and it was awesome, especially warm out of the oven with vanilla ice cream on top.
I had frozen cranberries, fresh blueberries, and frozen mulberries (from our trees in the backyard from last summer), so I mixed them gently in a bowl with some powdered sugar, tossed them in a pan (sprayed with Pam), and mixed up a basic oatmeal crisp - oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, butter, and a little flour. Then, I poured that on top of the berries and baked (350*) for about 40 minutes, until juicy and bubbly - plus I added more butter in the dry spots about halfway through.
And, you know the best part? P & J are more ice cream/milkshake people, so they didn't cotton to this like I did - more for me! :)
And voila! Winter Yumminess!
