Wow, there's been a lot of things going on around here. Let's see where to start. I just posted some pictures of our tomatoes earlier this week. Our little garden is doing great - we have gotten lots of zucchini, peppers, and tomatoes, plus some sugar snap peas, some basil, and there's a little butternut squash growing too.
My marigolds are doing great - the plants are growing huge and bushy with lots of flowers on them. I already have as many seed/deadheaded flowers as I had last year (and there's still 2 1/2 months left of growing for them). I love them because they are easy, they thrive (they do need some regular water), they are pretty, and you can pick the dead flowers off and replant them next year! So cool!
What else? My work has been in a busy season for several months now.
I have been going to the Farmers Market in Germantown pretty regularly, sold out of my peach tarts and focaccia bread in less than 2 hours last weekend. That is a fun experience, but also quite a bit of work. Planning, packaging, labeling, taste, ingredients, baking (to get everything fresh, I really can't bake things 4-5 days in advance, so Thursday and Friday evenings are baking time.
Let's see - what else is going on? I'm sure I'll think of something as soon as I hit save and post this. :)
peace!
