- I tweaked my back somehow last night - a cross between 3 Turbo Jam dvd workouts over the weekend, building a compost bin on Sunday, and playing soccer with Jordan in the backyard. I could hardly move this morning and it hasn't improved much. I'm going to walk (and maybe jog a little if it doesn't hurt too bad) at lunch and see if I can loosen things up.
- I did go to the Awaken women's conference on Saturday, well half of it anyways. I left at lunch time. The part I saw was good, but it was a little clique-y for me.
- I made some cookies for my sister's birthday on Friday or Saturday and just sent them out today to her. Even though her birthday was actually last week.
- I built a compost bin on Sunday. My old system wasn't working very well. The dogs kept getting into it and eating the nasty stuff in there. This new bin (I'll have to post a picture soon) is much more substantial.
- On Saturday afternoon, I went to the Half Price Bookstore and sold a few books that I wanted to get rid of. I was there for about an hour and ended up with just 2 books that looked good.
- I have a list of books that I'd like to read, but the Half Price Bookstore didn't have any of them.
- Surprisingly, the theme of the Awaken conference (and the description talking about the conference), the 2 talks I heard at the conference, and the 2 books I ended up with from the bookstore all point to living fully, getting in touch with your feminine power, and being all that you can be (and were born to be). A blog that I follow also posted something similar in thought - about women accepting their power.
There's lots more to unpack here, but just wanted to post a couple of thoughts.
Paul comes home from Daytona tomorrow sometime. Yea!!! It's been quiet in the house since Friday morning.
peace.
