Just a little note

This morning, I read an interesting post at the Passionate Homemaking blog, something I follow pretty regularly.  It seems that even though I may have come a long ways, I am still on this journey and still trying to figure out who I am and what my purpose is, and still trying to get to know me - the deep, inner me (with my strengths, weaknesses, warts and all)...

This article talks about the significance of women in the live of Jesus and throughout the Bible.  Although they might not have had a voice in politics or anything close to equal rights, they were important to Jesus and throughout.

To quote something from this post at Passionate Homemaking:
"As Gary Thomas so beautifully shares, “While the apostle Paul does ascribe a certain significance to the man’s being created first, if you look at the line of creation, females are the culmination! Everything keeps getting more sophisticated, more intricate, until finally a woman appears – and only then does God rest.”"

Interesting.

It feels like I am glimpsing something important on this journey, although I can't quite put my finger on it yet.

I am a work in progress.  peace.

  1. Although I am not religious, and didn't really go that route, it took me many years to finally find myself and/or who I am supposed to be. Through homeopathy I have learned more about myself in my late 30's than ever before.

The most important key I have learned thus far is to listen to my body. I think we as women especially, push aside taking care of "us" so many times that we forget how to until we are sick or worse and have no choice but to slow down and do it.

    Good luck on your journey~
